katarin maría laruelle aránguiz (she/her) has a professional background in weaving and natural dyes practices and is doing a ph.d. in anthropology and archaeology with professor Lisa Overholtzer at mcgill university.
she is especially interested in epistemological knowledge in craft practices, the harvesting and gathering of raw materials, and apprenticeship transmission into the domestic and familial sphere. her projects are actually taking place with different crafters from mexico and guatemala.
